Settlement dan Kelangsungan Hidup Post-Larva Abalon Haliotis asinina Pada Fase Perkembangan Larva Berbeda

Abstract


Perbedaan fase perkembangan larva (fase trochophore, fase veliger awal, fase veliger akhir) diuji pada penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi settlement dan kelangsungan hidup post-larva abalon H. asinina. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan. Larva dipelihara pada kontainer plastik yang berisi 12 L air laut dan plat ukuran 20×20 cm yang ditumbuhi bentik diatom dan diberi aerasi. Pemeliharaan larva dilakukan selama 72 jam untuk settlement larva dan 20 hari untuk kelangsungan hidup post-larva abalon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase settlement larva tidak berbeda nyata antar ketiga perlakuan (P=0,862).  Selanjutnya pada 20 hari pemeliharan larva, kelangsungan hidup post-larva tertinggi diperoleh pada fase trocopohore dengan nilai 1,56±0,27%, diikuti oleh fase veliger awal dan fase veliger akhir dengan nilai 1,34±0,79% dan 0,97±0,29% secara berturut-turut. Dari hasil uji statistik, tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan dari ketiga perlakuan (P=0,296). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan produksi creeping larva dan juvenil abalon di hatchery, larva dapat ditebar mulai dari fase trochophore sampai fase veliger akhir.
