SEGARA Journal (p-ISSN: 1907-0659, e-ISSN: 2461-1166) is a journal published by Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Dumai, Agency for Marine and Fisheries Research and Human Resources, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), with the aim of disseminating information about scientific developments in the coastal and marine sector in Indonesia, such as: Marine Fisheries Management, Marine Biotechnology, Marine Blue Economy, Marine Microbiology, Marine Ecology, Marine Biology, Marine pollution, Conservation of Coastal and Marine Resources, Oceanography, Acoustics and instrumentation, Marine remote sensing, Marine geographical information system, Area of non-living resources, Marine Energy, Ocean engineering, Underwater archeology and the environment.

The manuscripts published in this journal mainly come from the results of research and conceptual studies related to Indonesian marine, carried out by researchers, academics, students, and observers of marine issues both from within and outside the country. First published in 2005 with the frequency of being published 3 times a year (april, august and december). Starting in 2025, the journal will be published immediately 2 times a year (June and December) and in English and Indonesia.
