PERTUMBUHAN DAN SINTASAN UDANG VANAMEI POLA TRADISIONAL PLUS DENGAN KEPADATAN BERBEDA

Abstract


Percobaan ini dilakukan di tambak Instalasi BRPBAP Maranak dengan menggunakan 6 petak tambak bekas tambak udang windu intensif yang tidak berproduksi lagi, berukuran masing-masing 900 m2. Benih udang vanamei berukuran PL-12 dengan bobot rata-rata: 0,001 g/ekor ditebar dengan kepadatan yang berbeda, sebagai perlakuan yaitu: 4 ekor/m2 (A); 6 ekor/m2 (B); dan 8 ekor/m2 (C) dengan ulangan 2 kali. Tujuan percobaan ini untuk mengetahui kepadatan optimun udang vanamei yang ditebar secara tradisional plus. Hasil percobaan ini diperoleh kepadatan 8 ekor/m2 (C) menghasilkan sintasan yang tinggi dengan RKP yang rendah yaitu 60,97% dan 1,79 berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan kepadatan 4 ekor/m2 (A) dan 6 ekor/m2 (B) dengan sintasan masingmasing 55,35% dan 52,44% dan RKP masing-masing 2,49 dan 2,24. Demikian pula produksi lebih tinggi pada perlakuan C berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan A dan B. Kualitas air yang menonjol adalah kadar garam yang cukup tinggi untuk semua perlakuan (40-47 ppt) sedangkan kadar oksigen terlarut masih optimum untuk semua perlakuan (DO>3,42 mg/L). Hasil menunjukkan kepadatan yang terbaik adalah 8 ekor/ m2 namun melihat kadar oksigen terlarut yang masih di atas kondisi optimum maka kepadatan relatif masih bisa ditingkatkan.

The experiment was conducted in the Installation of Research Institute for Coastal Aquaculture in Maranak, Maros that was used 6 abandoned ponds of former intensive tiger prawn. The size of pond was 900 m2 respectively. The seed of vannamei was PL8 with 0.001 g/pieces in weight were stocked in different stocking densities, i.e. 4 pieces/m2 (A); 6 pieces/m2 (B); and 8 pieces/m2 (C), with two replicate, respectively. The aim of study was to know the optimum stocking density of vannamei that stocked in traditionally plus culture system. The results showed that 8 pieces/m2(C) in stocking density were found the highest of survival rate and the lowest of feed conversion ratio, i.e. 60.97% and 1.79, respectively. The statistical analysis result had significantly different to the one in 4 pieces/m2 (A) and 6 pieces/m2 (B) in stocking densities that had survival rate of 55.35% and 52.44% and feed conversion ration of 2.49 and 2.24 respectively. The highest production was found also in the 8 pieces/m2 of stocking density and it had significantly different the ones of 4 and 6 pieces/m2 in stocking densities. The water salinity was high in all treatments (40—47 ppt) and dissolved oxygen was optimum in all treatments (>3.42 mg/L). The best stocking density finally was 8 pieces/m2, however the dissolved oxygen was still above the optimum condition, so the relative stocking could be increased.
